Complement factor H (CFH), originally known as beta-1H globulin, is a serum glycoprotein that regulates the function of the alternativecomplement pathway in fluid phase and on cellular surfaces. It binds to C3b, accelerates the decay of the alternative pathway convertase C3bBb, and also acts as a cofactor for complement factor I, another C3b inhibitor. The CFH gene is located on chromosome 1q32-q32.1 within a cluster of genes encoding the regulatory complement components of the activation of C3 (RCA for 'regulators of complement activation'). This gene cluster includes decay-accelerating factor (DAF), C4-binding protein (C4BPA and C4BPB), and the factor H-related genes CFHR1, CFHR2, CFHR3, CFHR4, and CFHR5, among others. The gene family has arisen by multiple duplication events.

Useful in Sandwich ELISA for Quantitative Detection of Antigen. Aliquot 0.1ml per well of the 50ng/ml, 25ng/ml, 12.5ng/ml, 6.25ng/ml, 3.12ng/ml, 1.56ng/ml, 0.78ng/ml mouse CFH standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1ml of the sample diluent buffer into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1ml of each properly diluted sample of mouse cell culture supernates, serum or plasma(heparin, EDTA) to each empty well. We recommend that each mouse CFH standard solution and each sample is measured in duplicate.
Store vials at 4°C prior to opening. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for 6 months at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage freeze at -20°C or below for 12 months. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
